A brief stop in Panama (in transit to Bolivia) allowed me to visit this charming nation that bridges Central and South America (connecting Costa Rica and Colombia). From pirate raids to Jesuit missions, smiling locals are eager - and proud - to share their rich historical past with all who visit. I witnessed the crowded concrete jungle of downtown Panama, the approaching cargo ships of the Panama Canal, and the picturesque coastlines and beaches of Calzada de Amador. Enjoy the few pics below!
