A brief stop in Panama (in transit to Bolivia) allowed me to visit this charming nation that bridges Central and South America (connecting Costa Rica and Colombia). From pirate raids to Jesuit missions, smiling locals are eager - and proud - to share their rich historical past with all who visit. I witnessed the crowded concrete jungle of downtown Panama, the approaching cargo ships of the Panama Canal, and the picturesque coastlines and beaches of Calzada de Amador. Enjoy the few pics below!

I can feel the humidity just looking at those pictures! Hope you enjoyed your abbreviated stay.
Love your pix of Panama. I went through the canal once on a cruise, but we were not allowed to go onshore.
One of the cabin boys had hoped for a stop so he could visit his family. He had to settle for a view of them as the ship passed under the first bridge. They all waved frantically.
man wade is it even possible for you to take a bad picture? i love the shots you've taken -such skill it's crazy!
thanks, raych! very kind words.
